Vikram is a seasoned healthcare strategy consultant with over 12 years of global healthcare industry experience. His passion to redefine healthcare delivery in India prompted him to found NephroPlus, a chain of premium dialysis centers.
He has helped hospitals, dialysis centers, pharmacy benefit managers, healthcare distributors, consumer health, and pharmaceutical clients on various strategic issues such as business development, growth strategy, operational improvement, portfolio rationalization, redefining customer strategies, clinical trial strategy and M&A.
Prior to founding NephroPlus, Vikram was a strategy consultant at McKinsey & Company in their New Jersey office. He also founded an internal management consulting group at Abbott Laboratories helping key management on various strategic and sales force management issues. Prior to that Vikram worked for two years as a business analyst at ZS Associates, a worldwide leader in sales force management consulting.
Vikram did his Bachelors in Chemical engineering from IIT-Kharagpur, Masters in Computer Science from University of Illinois, and a full time MBA from the University of Chicago, Booth school of business. He is based out of Hyderabad, India and enjoys international travel, bollywood movies, roller blading, and sky diving.
Vishal is the Managing Director at Bessemer Venture Partners in India, Bangalore. Vishal joined BVP India in 2006 and focuses on investments in consumer internet, market places and enterprise SaaS.
Vishal is currently on the board of Hungama.com, Matrimony.com, Indian Energy Exchange Ltd., Medi Assist, Anunta Technology Management Services, Applied Solar Technologies, BigBasket and a Board Observer on SnapDeal.
Vishal is also involved in the investments of Shriram City Union Finance, Orient Green Power, Shriram EPC, Kiran Energy Solar Power, Ind-Barath Power Infrastructure and Motilal Oswal.
Prior to joining BVP India, Vishal was a senior manager in the treasurer’s office at Reliance Group. Vishal helped the firm establish a private-equity fund that invested in such companies as Celebrity Fashions, Adlabs and other firms in the healthcare and financial-services sectors. Previously, he served as an executive assistant to the CEO for a joint venture of HCL Tech and Deutsche Bank in India.
Vishal holds an M.B.A from the Indian Institute of Management in Calcutta, is a chartered accountant and has a B.A. in commerce from GS College, where he was ranked one of the top 750 students in the country. He is also a member of Mensa and has been a nationally-ranked table tennis player.
Pravan leads Venture Capital Investments in South & South-East Asia for the International Finance Corporation, a member of the World Bank Group. IFC’s venture capital investments in India include Azure Power, Applied Solar Technologies, EyeQ, MyUniverse and NephroPlus.
Prior to joining IFC, Pravan was a Principal with ORIX Venture Finance in New York and was responsible for structured investments in venture- backed companies. Pravan has also worked with Metropolitan Venture Partners, a transatlantic venture capital fund in New York, and Global Bridge Ventures, an emerging markets focused venture capital fund in San Francisco.
Earlier in his career, Pravan was an investment banker at BMO Nesbitt Burns and a credit analyst at the Tokai Bank in Chicago. Pravan holds an MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
Heramb Hajarnavis is the Founding Partner of SeaLink Capital Partners and has a decade of private equity experience in India.
Prior to founding SeaLink Capital Partners, Heramb led KKR’s private equity investment efforts in India. Previously, Heramb was the Managing Director and Co-Head of Goldman Sachs & Co.’s Principal Investment Area in India. Heramb has also been part of Goldman Sachs in their New York, Singapore and Hong Kong offices. Additionally, he brings an operational perspective through his prior experience of being part of the senior management team at Centennial Communications Corp.
Heramb is an Aspen Institute Fellow and serves on the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) National Committee on Venture Capital & Private Equity. He received an S.B. from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Dr. Brian J. G. Pereira is an Adjunct Professor of Medicine at Tufts University School of Medicine, the Sackler School of Graduate Biomedical Sciences, and the Tufts Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI). He also served as president of the National Kidney Foundation (USA).
Dr. Pereira has authored more than 200 scientific publications, and his research on Hepatitis C and G in dialysis and transplantation have led to design of policies to reduce transmission in dialysis units worldwide. He has won multiple awards including mostly recently the David Humes Award, National Kidney Foundation (2008) and Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year (2008, 2009).
Dr. Pereira received his MBBS from St. John’s Medical College, Bangalore, India; MD (Internal Medicine) and DM (Nephrology) from the Post Graduate Institute (PGI) Chandigarh, India; and MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, Evanston, IL.
Ananth Rao is a proven entrepreneur with extensive background of over 20 years in general management, corporate strategy, product development marketing & sales. Rao was Founder of JP Mobile in the US, acquired by Good Technology, which was later acquired by Motorola in 2007. Over a span of 10 years at JP Mobile, he provided strategic direction and built customer and market traction.
Ananth is currently Chairman, Focus SkillPro & Managing Director of Focus Ventures. Focus SkillPro is a sustainable social venture with a mission to train and provide jobs to 1 million underprivileged youth. Focus Ventures does early stage investments primarily in Mobile & Internet Technology, Financial Services, Hospitality, & education sectors.
Ananth holds a Master’s degree in computer science from the University of Southwestern Louisiana. He also attended Stanford’s Executive business management program.
