Delicious home made fresh fruit syrup with no added preservatives.

Portion size: 170 ml (4 servings)
Serving size: 2 tablespoons

Ingredients: 

  • Strawberries 200gms
  • Sugar ½ cup (100gms)
  • Water ½ cup

Preparation: 

  • Wash and chop the strawberries
  • Put all the ingredients in a thick bottomed vessel
  • Cook for approximately 10-15 minutes on a medium heat
  • Set a mesh sieve over a mixing bowl, strain the syrup over the sieve
  • Discard the berries or keep it aside for later use
  • Pour the syrup back into the vessel
  • Bring back it to boil on low flame for about 10-15 minutes or until the syrup slightly thickens
  • Remove the vessel from the heat and store it in a glass container
  • Strawberry syrup can be stored up to 2 weeks in a refrigerator
