Ingredients:
- Rice, long grain 1 bowl
- Onion, thin sliced 1 medium
- Green Peas ¼ bowl
- Green chilli, split 1 in no
- Oil, 3 tsp
- Pepper, grounded ¼ tsp
- Garam Masala ½ tsp
- Water 1.5 bowl
- Salt 1/8 tsp (As suggested by the dietician)
- Portion size: 3 bowl
- Serving size: 1 bowl

Procedure:
- Wash rice in running water and soak for 15 min.
- Heat oil in a cooker bottom, add slit green chilies and fry for 2 min. Add sliced onion and continue frying until golden brown.
- Now add Green peas, sauté for 2 mins. Add pepper, garam masala and salt. Mix well.
- Drain the soaked rice and add it in a cooker and mix well.
- Heat 1.5 bowl of water and add it to the cooker. Mix well and put the cooker lid.
- Cook for 1 whistle on a moderate flame.
- Serve hot with Dal tadka or plain jeera raita.
