
Kanda Pohe is a traditional Maharashtrian dish, usually served for breakfast or even as snack.

Serving Size: 1 bowl
Ingredients:
Pohe, medium thick flakes 1 cup
Turmeric ½ tsp
Mustard Seeds 1 tsp
Hing A pinch
Curry Leaves 1 sprig
Green Chili, split 2 in no
Onion, chopped 1 small
Oil 2 tsp
Peanuts 1 tsp (optional)
Sugar ½ tsp (optional)
Corriander, chopped 1 tsp (optional)
Salt 1/8 tsp (As suggested by dietitian)
Procedure :
Add pohe to a colander and quick rinse them under running water. Drain water completely and keep aside.
In a kadai, Heat oil and add mustard seeds. Let it splutter.
Add Hing, split chili, curry leaves and peanuts (optional) and fry for 1 minute.
Now, Add onion and fry until it turs translucent.
Add turmeric, salt and sugar. Mix it evenly.
Now, add soaked pohe. Mix well and cover with a lid and steam it for another 2-3 min.
Garnish with corriander (optional) and serve hot.
