Herbs and Spices – good alternatives to salt

Food with very less salt can taste really bad. Yes, of course. But there are good alternatives that can flavor our food well enough without us having to dread the thought of walking up to the dining table. For example, herbs like Oregano, Basil and Parsley among others are great ways of making food tasty.

Until some time back, these herbs were not easily available in India. But luckily, these days, they are available in many good supermarkets in at least metropolitan cities.

Try garnishing your food with one or more of these herbs and see your food come magically alive!

For a change, squeeze half a lime on a curry for flavor as well.

Yes, life with kidney disease is not easy! But it is not impossible as well! All it takes is positive attitude and the willingness to experiment. Remember, there are options. It is up to us to find them.

By trying such simple tips, we can still manage fairly well!
