The NephroPlus sponsored one day fun-cum-educational event for dialysis patients was held at Agra’s Hotel Moti Mahal Delux. The event saw dialysis patients from and around Agra coming and participating enthusiastically. There were talks by Dr. Apoorva Jain, renowned nephrologist and Medical Director of NephroPlus’ Agra dialysis center, Dr. Manoj Kumar, Vascular Surgeon (who also judged the Best Fistula Contest) and Dietician Mrs. Preeti.

There was an elaborate lunch for patients prepared as per the dialysis patient diet!

Inside the reputed Pushpanjali Hospital, this center has 10 dialysis machines. Hepatitis C and Hepatitis B positive cases can also be dialyzed here.

Launch of standalone unit at Basaveshwaranagar, Bengaluru

We launched our first standalone unit in Bengaluru at Basaveshwaranagar. The unit offers highest quality dialysis to the patients in and around this area and is the third NephroPlus center in the city. ‘Aashayein – Let’s celebrate life’ held at Bengaluru

Our flagship event, Aashayein, a one day free fun-cum- educational event was held for the first time in the city of Bengaluru. About 600 patients and their family members attended the event. The city’s top nephrologists, transplant surgeons and vascular surgeons spoke at the event. A dialysis patient performed stand-up comedy. NephroPlus Chief Dietician gave tips on the dialysis patient diet. There was a sumptuous meal prepared as per the dialysis patient diet.

NephroPlus launches unit in ESI Hospital, Sanathnagar, Hyderabad

NephroPlus launched their biggest center yet at Sanathnagar in Hyderabad at the ESI Super Specialty Hospital. This swanky, new 20 bedded unit currently serves about 150 guests under the ESI scheme. With this unit, ESI patients can now avail state-of-the-art dialysis in the heart of the city!

NephroPlus makes foray into Karnataka with unit in Ramamurthy Nagar

NephroPlus today entered Karnataka after redefining quality kidney care in Andhra Pradesh. The dialysis unit was started inside Koshy’s Hospital at Ramamurthy Nagar in Bengaluru. The unit has 10 stations which all have state-of-the-art machines imported from Germany. The unit also has a sophisticated Reverse Osmosis water purification plant the quality of which can be monitored remotely.

Fourth unit in AP launched at Nightingale Hospital, Santoshnagar

NephroPlus today launched their fourth unit in the state of Andhra Pradesh in Nightingale Hospital at Santoshnagar in the capital city of Hyderabad. The swanky new unit will provide quality dialysis to patients in and around Santoshnagar. The unit is also expected to soon be empanelled with Aarogyasri, the state sponsored health scheme.

Aashayein 2012 – event for kidney patients held

NephroPlus today held a one day fun cum educational event for kidney and dialysis patients at Hotel Fortune Select Manohar, Begumpet, Hyderabad. The event saw almost 600 people attend. The Chief Guest was Dr. Brian Pereira, world-renowned nephrologist. The patients were addressed by nephrologists, transplant surgeons, dieticians, vascular surgeons and patients. The highlight of the show was a stand-up comedy act by the famous ‘Mimicry Hari Kishen’ who incidentally is himself a dialysis patient.

The patients were treated to an elaborate lunch which as prepared as per the dialysis patient diet. They were also given gifts which included two erythropoietin injections.

BVP invests in NephroPlus

Bessemer Venture Partners, a global venture capital firm invested in NephroPlus. This investment will help to fund NephroPlus’ aggressive expansion plans.

NephroPlus plans to open 100 new centers in the next 2 to 3 years. The company is hopeful of bringing down the cost of dialysis even further as the economies of scale kick in.

“The costs will come down once we start buying equipment in bulk. The dialysis machines and even consumables once bought in bulk will provide significant cost benefit, which can be passed on to patients in the form of lower dialysis costs,” Vikram Vuppala, CEO of NephroPlus said at a press conference in the city.

NephroPlus at ISNCON 2011

NephroPlus put up a stall at the Annual Conference of the Indian Society of Nephrology which was held at Hyderabad recently.

The conference saw nephrologists and others connected with Nephrology from all over the country.

The NephroPlus stall created quite a buzz and many nephrologists were interested in partnering with NephroPlus to set up centers all over the country.

NephroPlus has started engaging with the different nephrologists to see which regions in the county most need quality options at affordable prices.

NephroPlus storms Mahabubnagar!

14th July 2011. Mahabubnagar, Andhra Pradesh

NephroPlus launched its third state-of-the-art dialysis center in Andhra Pradesh’s Mahabubnagar district. The center is set up as part of the reputed S V S Medical College and Hospital in Mahabubnagar.

This is a huge relief for dialysis patients in Mahabubnagar who currently travel all the way to Hyderabad thrice a week (100 km each way) to get dialysis.

All these patients can now get world-class dialysis right in their own city.
